A clear quotation brief helps a supplier price the frame you actually need.
For wholesale aluminum picture frames, size and quantity alone leave important parts of the order undefined. Share a short specification that identifies the supply format, finish, components, packaging and destination. If something is undecided, label it “please recommend” so it can be discussed explicitly.
Start with a short brief if your specification is not final

What to include in your wholesale frame brief

A reference image communicates style. If exact structural compatibility is required, also supply a dimensioned drawing, its revision and matching component information. Confirm which reference governs if a drawing and photograph differ.
Make the size and quantity mix easy to price
Use one row per size and finish. Mark whether the dimensions describe the artwork, opening or outside frame. The example below is a format to fill in, not a DAMAX product specification or price offer.

Keep forecast volumes separate from committed first-order quantities. Ask the supplier to confirm MOQ, sample cost, tooling or setup costs, and production timing for the actual specification. These should not be assumed from a general catalogue.

Compare quotations on the same basis
- Check that each supplier priced the same sizes, finish, front panel, backing, fittings and quantity mix.
- Separate sample, setup and tooling charges from repeat-order unit pricing.
- Record currency, quote validity and the delivery terms stated by the supplier.
- Clarify which freight, taxes or other charges are included or excluded.
- Request carton dimensions and weights before treating freight estimates as comparable.
The lowest bare-frame price may require additional components or work. Use the supply-format comparison to identify costs that sit outside the quoted product.

Before approving production
Agree the written specification and sample reference: size definitions, finish, components, labels and packing. Confirm the inspection points and what happens if the received product differs from the approved specification. Record changes so a later reorder does not depend on memory or an old photograph.
